Specialty & Approach
I specialize in working with Black, brown and multi-ethnic, non-monogamous, QTGNC/questioning folks experiencing depression, anxiety/panic, complex trauma, and relationship or social transitions. In addition, I am experienced serving folks with a range of identities struggling with dysphoria, disordered eating, substance misuse, self-harm, chronic illness including chronic pain and social stigma, and the general malaise of occupying marginalized identities in this world.
Relational, creative and anti-authoritarian, you will find me warm and attuned. We will leverage mindfulness, consciousness-raising, compassion, visualization, parts-work, corrective emotional experience and cognitive interventions to heal your relationship to your past, empower you in the present, and catalyze growth in the direction of your unique needs and aspirations—and wildest dreams!
The foundations of my practice include: social-constructivism, feminist theory, Buddhist philosophy, psychodynamics, attachment theory, CBT, dance/movement therapy, parts therapy, and somatics. I am a committed life long learner, personally and professionally, so the theoretical and practical underpinnings of my work are shifting and growing all the time and I am happy to answer any questions you may have!
